For this poster design, I sought to incorporate text into a digital illustration I had drafted months prior. In compliance with the mood and composition of the illustration, I wanted to invoke a graphic novel/manga style in converting this to a poster. I used Japanese hiragana characters juxtaposed to the “BREAK AWAY” text and the illustration itself to further emphasize this.
