For this design idea, I resurrected a previously rejected concept for an album cover re-design and pushed it further using some of the bare basics of typography and layout. I find that just about everything is worth holding onto in the long term, and that new ideas can often be found in revisiting old scraps and pieces. The contrast between red and its opposite, cyan, over a textured black background juxtaposed to white text really helped solidify this overall computer aesthetic as I had originally intended.
