This poster design was an exploration in combining different methods and styles to promote a sense of irony, particularly surrounding the HBO sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm starring Larry David. The goal for the project was relatively open-ended with no fixed trajectory. A significant amount of time was spent breaking apart both Larry David’s portrait and much of the text I decided to incorporate into the piece. This also included melding, warping, duplicating, shifting, and splicing different elements and segments together in a manner reminiscent of postmodern expression. The end result, while unintentional, still managed to present the ironic, odd, slightly unsettling, and yet still intriguing appearance and message I originally hoped to achieve.
